On February 12, 2009, Continental Connection Flight 3407 crashed into a home in Clarence, NY. Fifty-one lives were lost that evening. The Flight 3407 Memorial 5K Race began as a way to honor those lost and has continued to be a source of healing and hope for a community that came together then and stands together today.

The 5k event takes place annually in Clarence Towne Place Park in Clarence Center, NY.

In addition to funding the building and maintenance of a public memorial to be built on the grounds of the Clarence Library, a portion of the proceeds from this year’s race will go to local charities. The families of Flight 3407 would like to take the opportunity to give back to the people of WNY for their constant show of love and support since the crash.
